The Very Inclusive Play Club

Supporting the learning and development of children aged nought to six years who have additional needs and their parents. The group sessions are carefully designed to support each child’s development in a variety of areas. Children can enjoy various sensory play activities including stories, physical activities, music, and more. Learn and bond with your child in the safety of a small group. Each session lasts one hour 30 minutes. There is a group specifically for children with limited mobility. No diagnosis is required to attend and the cost should not be a barrier for any family to attend, funding is available for subsidised places. The group runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in

Friday friends  

Friday Friends offers a welcoming space for visually impaired and D/deaf children who attend mainstream school and their families. The groups meet monthly and explore different themes through objects, music, art and activities. In partnership with the City of Âé¶¹Ó³»­ Additional Support for Learning team, sessions alternate between The National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh Zoo and Holyrood Palace. Community Inclusive Sports Initiative 

Stewart Melville Rugby Football Club and Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools host an inclusive multi-sports programme for children aged four to 14 years with additional needs or disabilities. Adapted activities including rugby, football and athletics with support provided by sports leaders from the Mary Erskine school on a one to one basis. Parents can participate as well as siblings.
