The Bombing of Edinburgh and Leith, 1939 to 1942
When the Edinburgh Police Historical Society uncovered a rare 1944 document detailing German bombing raids on the city, it revealed a story often overlooked. Though not ‘Blitzed’ like London, Edinburgh was repeatedly attacked from October 1939 to 1942. Writer and long-serving senior Police Officer, Tom Wood will share this history using original crime scene photographs from the City Police Archives.

An evening with Helen McClory
Edinburgh-based writer, Helen McClory, has been described by The Herald as "one of the best new writers to have emerged in Scotland in the last few years".
Her work includes The Goldblum Variations, short story collections, and the novel, Bitterhall. Come along to Oxgangs Library to find out more about her and her writing.
