Parent and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS)
PAIRS works directly with infants and their parents and carers, as well as professionals who support families, to help understand and support the parent and infant relationship. We are a small team from a range of professional backgrounds, all with a shared interest and expertise in infant development and the importance of early relationships. We provide direct support to parents and carers and their babies during pregnancy, following birth and up to the age of three years. We offer support to understand and strengthen the relationship using a range of different interventions and work alongside other professionals. This service is offered to families living in South East and South West Edinburgh. All referrals can be made via the health visitor, midwife or FNP nurse who are then offered an initial consultation.
