A listening and caring ear for anyone of any faith”
What is chaplaincy support?
Chaplains are good listeners who care about the whole person and their wellbeing. They provide comfort and support to those going through a difficult time.
Chaplains are engaged in conversations about a range of things, all of life’s ups and downs – anything from bereavement, relationships, anxiety, stress etc. Typically, conversations will take place over the phone but face-to-face conversations could be arranged.
The service is open to anyone in the Council regardless of their faith, identity, belief or non-belief. The service is independent from the structure of the Council and completely confidential. Chaplaincy is a short-medium term intervention to support through difficult periods or personal crises.
