Equalities
The Council is committed to equal opportunities. Equality measures will include providing advice and assistance on the basis of need with particular sensitivity to the needs of the most vulnerable.
Other measures to ensure equality include:
- Ensuring that literature is available when required in Braille, large print, on CD and in the main languages spoken in the city. Translation will be available when requested.
- Providing interpreters whenever needed.
- Ensuring our services are available to all communities.
- Reviewing and monitoring our services to ensure they are non-discriminatory, including monitoring uptake by minority households.
